Fikri Çalışkan Art House is one of Darende's most distinctive cultural venues. Retired teacher Fikri Çalışkan transforms waste materials including plastic, wire, iron, stone, sand and gravel into original works of art.
Containing approximately 70 miniatures, the art house is filled with works depicting the historical and cultural values of Darende and Anatolia. Recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Çalışkan has received various awards domestically and internationally.
The visit, which is free of charge, can easily be added to any Darende tour given its proximity to Somuncu Baba Complex and Günpınar Waterfall.
